ICU (GLOBAL) Ltd are launching their new product Global IP
index™, a revolutionary IP platform, at the WAVE exhibition
at Olympia, London 17-18 November 2004. It is designed to
solve the problems of choppy transmissions for video conferencing
over IP.
As Founder & CEO Stephen McKenzie reported, "We
are pioneers in the IP (Internet Protocol) network arena.
A lot of the service providers are producing networks that
are incompatible with each other…. and there is the
security issue. Our product by providing a platform for the
IP and/or ISDN network can give seamless and secure connections.
This means an upgrade in the quality, and downgrade in the
cost of video conference transmissions over IP."
Global IP index™ can connect the networks of different
service providers without the usual reductions in quality.
It can be used for any type of audio, visual or video conference
communication.
According to recent research, understanding from the spoken
word is less than from the tone of voice and non verbal gestures.
In Alton Barbour’s study, ’Non-verbal communication,’
he suggests that as little as 7% of our understanding is from
the spoken word whereas the tone of voice accounts for 38%
and 55% is due to non-verbal gestures. Such research is fuelling
the growth in the video conferencing industry.
Stephen McKenzie of ICU (GLOBAL) Ltd is speaking at the WAVE
conference and expects the exhibition to attract interest
from international blue chip companies, along with service
providers. Their new product Global IP index™ is suited
to service providers, carriers, ISP’s and global end-users…where
international meetings are the norm.
